s Restaurant in Santa Monica where they were known for having the "Best Duck
in L.A." for over twenty years.

As an additional highlight to this mid-summer spectacular, our speaker will
be Henry Dubroff, the Owner/Editor/Publisher of the Pacific Coast Business
Times who will speak on the topic "Special Districts and the Media" .  He is
very interested in Special Districts in a positive way and will be giving us
coverage in his publication in weeks ahead.

 CSDA is participating as a full partner with CSAC and the League of
California Cities in the local government aspects of the State Budget
negotiations with direct contact with Gov. Swartzenegger on a regular basis.
In turn, the CSDA team of Catherine Smith: Executive Director, Bill Miller:
President, and Mike Glaze: Past President, have been conducting a conference
with the CSDA Directors every morning.  John Fox will give the most current
update at the meeting.
